Commvault has appointed Innovix Distribution as sole distributor for Singapore, as the back-up and recovery specialists streamline local operations.
The vendor currently has six key reseller agreements in place, spanning Fujitsu Asia, Genesis Networks, Hitachi Vantara, Meridan IT Solutions, PTC Systems and Transcend Solutions.
“Helping businesses protect data - their most strategic asset - and then use it to innovate and address digitalisation challenges requires a strong distribution partner that meets our strict standards for customer care and service,” said Matthew Johnston, area vice president of ASEAN and Korea, Commvault.
Headquartered in Singapore with more than 500 staff, Innovix has operations in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia among others.
In carrying more than 80 technology and lifestyle brands, the distributor servers more than 5,500 channel partners and 500 point of sales (POS) across three countries.
“Innovix’s technical expertise and market experience will help grow the Singaporean market, and we are delighted to partner with them to meet the demands of the modern data-driven business,” Johnston added.
The addition of Innovix comes as Commvault continues to expand ecosystem opportunities, backed up by strategic alliances with Microsoft, Alibaba Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and IBM.
From a geographical perspective, the Singapore market offers a central location with access to world-class digital technologies and a tech savvy populous to grow the vendor’s presence in the region.
Also, Singapore provides a wealth of opportunities in digital transformation as the city-state pushes ahead of its smart nation initiative.
Commvault has been present in the region since 2003, moving Asia Pacific headquarters to Singapore in June 2013, with regional offices in Malaysia and Thailand.
