Singapore represents the highest market in the Asia Pacific and Japan region for renewal bookings for Veeam, according to newly released second quarter financials.
The back-up vendor experienced a 173 per cent year-over-year (YoY) growth for renewal bookings in Q2, the highest out of all markets in APJ, bringing the total number of Singapore ProPartners as of 30 June to 529, and 913 total customers.
The results mark Veeam's 40th consecutive quarter of double-digit bookings growth, with 20 per cent growth year-on-year in total bookings during the quarter, keeping pace with its average of more than 4,000 new customers each month.
Veeam now has more than 307,000 customers worldwide.
"In Q2, we unveiled our message around intelligent data management and continuing our leadership position in the hyper-availability market,” said Shaun McLagan, senior vice president, APJ for Veeam.
"The APJ growth rate is nearly double the global growth rate YoY, sitting at 38 per cent - a fantastic achievement, which really shows regional momentum.
"Veeam has placed a significant investment in the APJ region, with an increased focus on hyper growth markets, China and Japan. This focus has paid off tremendously with both markets reporting growth of over 100 per cent YoY."
Furthermore, Veeam continues to grow it alliances that have been on a triple-digit YoY growth trajectory, with joint opportunities between the vendor and global alliance partners increasing by 183 per cent YoY.
The number of deals has also doubled with the amount of revenue generated YoY from joint bookings with Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), NetApp and Cisco.
The second quarter also saw Veeam win the inaugural HPE Momentum Technology Partner of the Year 2018 — Data and Analytics Solutions Award for high availability storage and data protection solutions growth and leadership.
The award marks Veeam’s recognition within the HPE partner ecosystem and builds momentum for the recent launch of Veeam Hyper-Availability solutions being integrated into HPE’s global supply chain processes and systems.

Meanwhile, the fastest growing segment for Veeam continues to be the cloud sector, with the vendor reporting 64 per cent growth YoY.
Delving deeper, the Veeam cloud and service provider (VCSP) program now includes close to 20,000 partners, with more than 3,500 partners providing BaaS and DRaaS using Veeam Cloud Connect.
Furthermore, Veeam Back-up for Microsoft Office 365 subscription sales increased 1,249 per cent YoY - to date, more than 35,000 organisations, representing 4.1 million Microsoft Office 365 mailboxes, have downloaded Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365.
