Tech Data aligns with Autodesk to drive ASEAN reseller value

Datech Solutions provides value-added services to more than 400 Autodesk resellers worldwide

Tech Data has launched Datech Portal across ASEAN, in a bid to support Autodesk authorised resellers drive regional subscription growth.

The roll-out is through Datech Solutions, a specialist business unit within Tech Data which provides value-added services to more than 400 Autodesk resellers worldwide, after officially landed regionally in January 2018.

"The Datech Portal is a great asset for our partners,” said Bennett Wong, vice president of ASEAN, at Tech Data.

"It will enable Autodesk resellers to add significant value to their businesses through easy access to critical information including renewal opportunities, end-user data, top opportunities, price lists and much more.

"The tool, coupled with our unique and comprehensive value-added services, will enable our reseller partners to capitalise on the immense opportunities in this market."

The new portal will go along way in streamlining the relationship between resellers and Autodesk, enabling the channel to take immediate action such as renewing end-user customers’ software subscription.

Furthermore, the portal will act as a central location for resellers to leverage Datech’s value-added services and receive the latest sales, marketing, technical and operational news.

The new portal is an attempt to foster a deeper relationship between Autodesk’s resellers and end-users, by aligning itself with the vendor’s subscription- and consumption-based model, using a strategy known as find, land, adopt, expand, renew (FLAER).

The FLAER cycle is a strategic approach to better engage customers at key stages in their subscription lifecycle.

Delving deeper, performance indicators are used at each phase of the FLAER cycle, with business-critical information presented to resellers in an easy to read format and value-added services offered to resellers through each stage.

Such value-added services include technical support, training and enablement, access to marketing and technical services and order automation.
