Duo Spark Singapore has signed a deal to distribute Korean cyber-security vendor NPCore's solutions.

The Singapore-based security system integrator Duo Spark has regional offices in both Singapore and Malaysia with a network of partners across the ASEAN region.

"With our US subsidiary, Vietnam branch and distributors in Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand, we are now the eighth overseas base to secure Asia's hub, Singapore," said Han Seung-chul, CEO at NPCore.

The initial meeting between the two companies occurred in 2017 during the information security business conference held by Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) and the Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA).

A specialist in advanced persistent threat (APT) ransomware solutions, NPCore will now distribute its 2-level ransomware/APT protection solution through Duo Spark as a result of this agreement.

"Based on our technological expertise and Duo Spark's local network, we will go full speed ahead on expanding APT·Ransomware attack defence solution 'ZombieZERO SERIES' into Singapore and ASEAN market,” said Seung-chul.

Furthermore, they had previously worked together on several solution demonstrations for potential clients in Indonesia and Malaysia and are participating in several project bids from government and financial institutions.

"More organisations are cognisant of the fact that users are the weakest link in their organisation,” said Yong Chong Soon, CEO at DuoSpark. “Therefore, a need to ensure that endpoints are well secured to help them with a better cyber posture regardless whether their authorised users are in or out of office."

“NPCore, with their cost-effective solution, provides our customers with the state-of-the-art technology protection," added Yong.
