The Vietnam Information Security Association (VNISA) has established the Vietnam Information Security Inspection and Evaluation Club with eight founding members.
Founding members include some of Vietnam’s most established information security and IT providers, including Viettel; CMC; FPT Corporation and BKAV Group, in addition to Vietnam Cyberspace Security Technology, CyRadar, HPT and Misoft.
The newly established group aims to help members incubate ideas around information security, while at the same time promote the security service market in Vietnam, developing a healthy competition between service providers.
The club will set out to analyse, research, propose and implement measures to build and develop the market for information security inspection, assessment and verification services in Vietnam.
Furthermore, members will participate in contributing ideas to formulate policies of the state, develop standards and regulations on information security assessment as well as develop criteria and standards in the field of inspection, assessment and verification of information security.
In the latest work plan by the Vietnamese government, VNISA, with the support of the Information Security Department - Ministry of Information and Communications, will build and implement training programs and certification of information security auditors.
The government aims to continuously upgrade its workforce, especially in areas such as security where there is an increased demand.
“The information security department of the government of Vietnam has committed to successfully building and deploying training programs for certification of information security inspectors,” said a spokesperson from the information security department.
