Amazon Web Services (AWS) has honoured its leading regional partners across ASEAN, following 12 months of growth through the channel.
Unveiled during the 2019 ASEAN AWS Partner Network (APN) Partner Awards ceremony - held during the AWS Summit Singapore 2019 - the awards recognise excellence in helping customers drive innovation and build solutions on the vendor's cloud platform.
"APN partners are adding value to customers across a wide range of industries, from banking and finance, to the public sector, and increasingly, the South East Asian startup sector,” said Nick Walton, managing director of ASEAN at AWS.
“The winners of the 2019 AWS ASEAN Partner Awards understand that customers can access more than 125 services to innovate in a myriad of ways – including some who are bringing entirely new solutions to market, and others who have been working with AWS since the launch of the AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore) Region more than eight years ago."
The awards honoured a broad range of born-in-the-cloud, and traditional AWS consulting and technology partners, whose business models have embraced specialisation and collaboration over the past year.
Furthermore, the awards recognised the agility of partners to evolve business models in line with customer demands, building a strong AWS Cloud business and leveraging key technology developments in areas such as big data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
APN is a global partner program, which is focused on helping successful AWS-based businesses or solutions by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support.
The program includes independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators (SIs) around the world, with APN Partner participation in the ASEAN region growing significantly over the past 12 months.
“The diverse nature of the APN Partner Award winners reflected the opportunity provided for APN Partners who were focused on helping customers remove the friction of managing IT infrastructure and set the platform for innovation,” said Walton.
A panel of AWS experts selected winners across four categories, namely, APN Consulting Partner of the Year, APN Technology Partner of the Year, Country Partner of the Year (Singapore), and Country Partner of the Year (Malaysia).
The APN Consulting Partner award went to a partner who in the eyes of the judges delivered consistently well throughout the period, developed their AWS business and grown with AWS during 2018.
This award went to Accenture for providing customers with an end-to-end solution to migrate to and manage operations on AWS.
Meanwhile, the APN Technology Partner of the Year award went to a partner who has leveraged the best of AWS Services, the AWS APN and continued to expand and grow with AWS during 2018.
This award went to Mobilewalla, for providing innovative solutions built on the AWS cloud for customers across ASEAN.
The Country Partner of the Year (Singapore) award went to BlazeClan Technologies for delivering business value to customers leveraging AWS’s cloud service, while the Country Partner of the Year (Malaysia) award went to G-AsiaPacific for providing cloud solutions to enterprises, corporate, SME, mid-market companies, and multinational companies in Malaysia and across ASEAN.
