Marion Ryan (ServiceNow)
ServiceNow has appointed Marion Ryan as vice president of alliances and channel across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) as the software giant deepens its commitment to partners.
Based in Singapore, Ryan is charged with overseeing the development and growth of the vendor’s partner ecosystem regionally, drawing on more than 25 years of industry experience.
Ryan joins from SAP, having spent more than 12 years in the business, including eight of those in Singapore in the role of vice president and head of channels across APJ. During this time, Ryan rolled out new partner segmentation and commercial models as SAP customers transitioned to cloud and hybrid solutions.
“I am delighted to be joining ServiceNow in my new role and look forward to working closely with our APJ partners to accelerate the digital transformation journey of our clients with associated business outcomes,” Ryan said.
According to Ryan, opportunities exist for the channel to expand through the development of ServiceNow enabled regional workflow practices, in addition to "partner IP enabled managed services".
“Our continued growth relies on delivering business value to our customers, by offering solutions that meet the specific needs of each local market,” Ryan added.
“To do this, we rely on partners with deep industry expertise and knowledge of ServiceNow-enabled solutions along with go-to-market maturity. I look forward to further enabling and driving the accelerated growth of our regional partner ecosystem.”
With IT and telecommunications experience spanning Asia, Europe and North America, Ryan brings an enterprise and channel focus to the role, following key sales and management positions at Telecom New Zealand, Department of the Australian House of Representatives, Mortgage Express (a subsidiary of TSB Bank) and Solution6.
“We’re excited to have Marion join ServiceNow, where her leadership success, passion for sales excellence, team building, and operational effectiveness will drive growth within our APJ partner community,” said Mitch Young, senior vice president and general manager of APJ, ServiceNow.
“As we aspire to become a $10 billion revenue company, our commitment to our regional and global partner strategy provides a strong foundation for continued partner and customer success.”
As reported by Channel Asia, ServiceNow - which recently named former SAP leader Bill McDermott as new CEO - is chasing a revenue target of $10 billion with channel partners expected to play a leading role in the software giant’s transformational efforts.
Central to such ambitions will be an overhauled partner strategy designed to drive growth through an expanding ecosystem.
“ServiceNow believes it can become a $10 billion company, creating significant opportunity for our global partner ecosystem to grow with us as we help enable digital transformation for customers worldwide,” said David Parsons, senior vice president of global alliances and channel ecosystem at ServiceNow, speaking during Knowledge 2019 in Las Vegas earlier this year.
