AVG at CeBIT: Enhancing Business Portfolio with New Secure Sign-On and Remote Monitoring & Management

AVG Technologies, N.V. (NYSE: AVG), the online security company™ for 200 million active users, returns to CeBIT for the 8th year to showcase its enhanced business portfolio. It will be showcasing the newly available AVG Business Secure Sign-On (SSO) and expanded VMware capabilities for its AVG Business Managed Workplace for small to mid-sized enterprises.

From Stand N30 at CeBIT in Sydney, AVG’s Channel and Corporate Sales Director, Michael Dowling and his team will address the control and security challenges created by today’s file sharing apps, mobility and cloud solutions. They will be demonstrating to channel partners and business customers how AVG Business SSO simplifies control over company data on employees’ mobile devices and cloud applications.

They will also be demonstrating the flagship AVG Business Managed Workplace®, an open ecosystem Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) application platform– which now includes the VMware® ESXi service module. This gives partners an easy and cost-effective way to extend their ability to manage customers’ virtual networks remotely via the AVG Business Managed Workplace multi-service management console.

“Our aim is to become the number one provider of online security and RMM applications for resellers and MSPs. Our comprehensive business offering is designed to help smaller IT companies and MSPs transition and flourish as fully-fledged managed services businesses by continuously adding value to their service range so they can manage the lives of their customers easily,” Dowling said.

AVG CeBIT Campus Talk– “What the Internet of Things Means for Your Business”

AVG’s Security Awareness Director Michael McKinnon is presenting a Campus Talk at CeBIT – “What the Internet of Things really means for your business” at 10.30am on Day 1 – will cover how the growth of Internet-connected devices isn’t just about consumer mobile and wearable technologies, but is vastly more profound in its impact on business. McKinnon will address the next big challenge of managing all the devices in a business, including employee-owned devices and cloud services. He’ll also explain how to take back control to manage reputation and critical data.

“AVG has now exceeded 200 million active users worldwide - that’s a lot of people who trust our products. And we’ve picked up a lot of knowledge and developed great expertise to get to that number. We understand how people behave in an always connected mobile environment. When we add that knowledge to our established online security heritage and our practical understanding of how business works, it’s a potent combination. Businesses everywhere need to know how to meet the challenge of operating without walls and we’re enabling businesses to take back control,” McKinnon said.
