D2L Appoints Geoff Thomas As Vice-President For Asia-Pacific

Thomas to drive regional expansion to support education technology adoption in schools and businesses

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA—February 22, 2017 —D2L, a global learning technology leader, today announces the appointment of Geoff Thomas as Vice-President for Asia-Pacific (APAC) to head the company’s regional expansion as demand for modern digital learning environments continues to increase.

Thomas will lead D2L’s APAC team to help K-12 schools, universities and businesses develop and achieve their education and training goals within D2L’s Brightspace platform. Brightspace makes it easy for schools and organisations to reach every learner with adaptable and customisable programs to meet the unique needs of students and professionals.

Thomas joins D2L with more than 20 years’ senior leadership experience in the technology industry. He was most recently President of Polycom’s APAC operations, prior to which he headed Juniper Networks’ enterprise business in APAC. Thomas has also held several executive roles at Microsoft, including management of the software company’s communications, distribution and services, retail, and financial services operations in various regions.
